Sensei Patrick Beaumont, Chief Instructor of St Mary's Karate Club, which will celebrate its 40th anniversary this year, will lead the festivities through Athlone for St Patrick's Day. This year, the parade is set to take place on St Patrick's Day, Tuesday, March 17, at 12.30pm led by the Band of the 2nd BDE. A fundraising table quiz took place on Friday, February 20, in The Bounty, in aid of the festivities. The group kindly donated their prize winnings back to the festival fundraising account.
