When they arrived at Sandymouth Beach in Bude, Cornwall, Mrs Curry went into the water with her body board and Mr Curry went to go string his hammock. In a statement she said she had met Mr Curry when she was just 16 at a Christian study group and they married when she was 22. He said he saw Mr Curry above him on a cliff face and thought he was in a precarious position, but returned to his family to look after his children.
