Around 1,000 farmers are set to benefit from a collaboration to promote sustainable agriculture and green energy in Egypt. The UN World Food Programme (WFP) in Egypt and The Coca-Cola Foundation, signed an agreement that encompasses rural communities in Luxor. This is to establish a model farm using green energy and water-saving techniques to optimise the use of limited land and natural resources. The WFP said the model farm will provide farmers with access to markets through enhanced value chains.
