Paula Fulghum, Greenville resident and owner of a Greenville-based human resources firm, is launching her campaign for Greenville mayor through a petition, according to a press release issued Wednesday. She is the third person to announce a run against 28-year incumbent Mayor Knox White. Republican Joe Farmer, a local resident, and Democrat Michelle Shain, a former city councilmember, previously filed to run for mayor this spring. “Greenville residents owe a debt of gratitude to our current mayor, but his expiration date has come and gone,” Fulghum said. “I will be an independent voice for the people of Greenville,” Fulghum said.
