Louis Dawkins, of Churchward Close, Grove, appeared at Oxford Crown Court to be sentenced on Tuesday, February 10. The 30-year-old pleaded guilty to intentional strangulation, threats to kill and assault, and occasioning actual bodily harm, on a woman on Thursday, January 8. The court heard Dawkins had been in a relationship with the woman since 2020 and that he'd had a history of alcohol misuse. The victim ended up hiding the vodka so that he wouldn't have any more. However she later found she had discovered the bottle, so poured it down the sink.
