His nearest competitor for the post, Badal Khandaker, received 109 votesMushfiqur Rahman Gulzar and Badiul Alam Khokon have been re-elected for the second consecutive term in the Bangladesh Film Directors’ Association election 2018. Gulzar has won the president post again while Khokon won the secretary general’s post for the second time. The Chief Election Commissioner of the poll said in a press statement that the Gulzar, Khokon panel won a total of 14 posts out of the 19. Gulzar won the president post by 183 votes.
