Raphael Ede, EnuguArmed men, on Thursday, attacked some leaders of the Ogbete Main Market Traders Association, who were protesting the alleged refusal of the former Chairman of the Caretaker Committee, Mr John Eze, to vacate office. One of the injured traders, who gave his name as Chief Friday Ani, told our correspondent that they were sharing leaflets to traders to stop paying revenue to the former caretaker committee chairman when suddenly armed men led by one Kasie descended on them. Another injured trader, who gave his name as Ignatius Edeh, said, “As a trader at the Ogbete Market, I saw the need to join the protest organised against the former caretaker committee chairman. So, while we were sharing leaflets to traders, I saw one Kasia with some armed men hitting me from the back.
