Gunmen on Sunday killed a policeman and a driver at the Airport Junction along Effurun-Warri Road, Effurun, in the Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State. The assailants were also reported to have abducted a yet-to-be-identified passenger to an unknown location. PUNCH Metro learnt that the kidnappers sped off with the unidentified youth after they struck at their targets. He said, “Yes, a police officer and a driver were killed by unknown gunmen. I don’t know the cause of the attack for now, but there was no passenger in the car and nobody was abducted.
