Lourdes Gurriel Jr. was da bomb for the Blue Jays on Friday night. Gurriel hit two home runs, both bombs to centre. It was the rookie infielder’s second multi-home run game of the season. According to @statcast, the Gurriel home run came on a 99.1-mph fastball, the fastest pitch hit for a home run by a Jays hitter this season. At 450 feet, it’s the longest home run hit on a 99-plus-mph pitch hit by anyone since Statcast began in 2015 (source Gregor Chisholm, MLB.com).
