HÀ NỘI — Hà Nội People’s Committee has recently issued a plan to take advantage of opportunities arising from the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP). The capital city would also focus on enhancing the competitiveness of major industries and small- and medium-sized enterprises through policies and programmes about support in capital, training, market information access and technology application, together with developing talents. The city would also prepare for possible job losses in case firms could not survive the harsh competition, providing job transition training and job consultancy services. Early this month, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued a plan for implementing the CPTPP. The 11-member CPTPP came into force for Việt Nam on January 14.
