The Hotel Association of India (HAI) today came out with a statement on the recent new articles on hotel pricing in Delhi during the AI Impact Summit reaching Rs 1,00,000 and beyond. In a meeting that HAI held with the minister for tourism and culture, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, the association attempted to ascertain the realistic picture of the prevailing market situation, including references to high room rates of standard room rates quoted in lakhs. A quick check with some of their member hotels revealed that the weighted average room rates are ranging between Rs 40000 and Rs 60000 per night during the summit, HAI said in a release.
