One colour that particularly gives a whole new meaning to the month of October is pink, which signifies breast cancer awareness. Raising awareness about breast cancer facilitates early diagnosis and substantially increases the chances of a patient’s survival, if and when diagnosed at an early stage. Leading the way in honouring the noble cause, HBL recently commemorated Breast Cancer Awareness Month in an attempt to make an impact and to remind everyone of the benefits of early detection in the battle against breast cancer. HBL’s iconic buildings were seen beaming in support for breast cancer awareness on the 25th as well as 26th of October. Although 1 in 8 women are hypothetically diagnosed with breast cancer, the majority of cases still remains unrecorded due to the sufferers’ shyness and social pressure.
