DIG Mizan has “totally tarnished the image of the police” and made “desperate comments” on bribing a director of the Anti-Corruption Commission, said the court. The HC also ordered DIG Mizan’s nephew Sub-Inspector Mahmudul Hasan to surrender in 72 hours to court in the same case. On Sunday, DIG Mizan filed a petition for the bail with the HC. DIG Mizanur in a television interview recently claimed that Basir took the bribes from him promising that he would be given a clean chit. Audio clips of mobile conversations between DIG Mizan and Basir were aired on television.
