HELEN LOCKWOOD: Volunteers collect 1,300 Christmas trees for hospice

One thousand trees were collected in two days, and more than 300 more were picked up on the third. Dale Mulgrew, events fundraiser at the hospice, said: “Thank you to all our hardworking and dedicated team of volunteers for their superb efforts collecting more than 1,300 Christmas trees. Volunteer opportunities at the hospice are varied and cover a multitude of opportunities ranging from: Christmas tree collections, administrative roles, or warehouse support, to name but a few options. We are currently looking for people who can spare some free time to help in some of our hospice shops, particularly on the weekends.
