The Centre for Health Protection said as of 12am today, it has recorded 38 additional confirmed coronavirus cases – three imported and 35 local – bringing the tally to 9,453 cases. There are also around 40 preliminary positive cases today. Dr Chuang Shuk-kwan, head of the Centre for Health Protection's Communicable Disease Branch, said of the fresh local cases today, 21 were linked to previous local infections and 14 with untraceable sources. Three imported cases were from Switzerland, Indonesia and the Philippines. At present, there are 678 negative pressure rooms in public hospitals with 1,224 negative pressure beds activated.
