Hockey Night in Canada host Ron MacLean has apologized for a comment he made during a national hockey broadcast Tuesday which set off accusations of homophobia on social media. In a statement released by Sportsnet, which produces HNIC, MacLean said he was "deeply sorry" for the remark, which he says was misunderstood.
