Heavy rain and hailstorms lashed several parts of Delhi and NCR Thursday, covering roads and parks in a white shroud. The evening rain also brought traffic to a standstill in south, west and central Delhi. The maximum temperature on Thursday plummeted 6 degrees Celsius — from 25.1 degrees on Wednesday to 19.1 degrees Celsius on Thursday. The minimum temperature, however, was recorded at 15 degrees Celsius, six degrees above normal. While no rain is expected during the next six days, mornings and days are expected to be colder than usual, officials said.
