DHAKA, Jan 23, 2026 (BSS) - Captain Azizul Hakim Tamim led from the front as Bangladesh Under-19 sealed a comprehensive seven-wicket win over USA in their last group match of the Youth World Cup at Takashinga Sports Club, Highfield, Harare today. Hakim hammered an 82 ball-64 with two fours and as many sixes as the young Tigers reached 201-3 in 41.3 overs for a victory after bowling out USA for 199 in 50 overs. Hakim and Kalam Siddiki Alin then shared 88 runs for the third wicket stand to edge the side close to the victory. Emon and Fahad took one wicket apiece in the first three overs to leave USA 6-2 by removing Amrinder Gill and Arjun Mahesh respectively. Bangladesh earlier suffered an 18-run defeat to India on DLS in their first match before their second match against New Zealand was washed out.
