People in Halifax are reacting with dismay to the news that five police officers were killed in Dallas in a shooting Thursday night. I understand police officers have been killing our unarmed black men at a high rate, which is disheartening. Halifax police Chief Jean Michel-Blais said he felt "great consternation" when he heard the news.
