Stocks are down sharply in Hong Kong today, following heavy losses on Wall Street overnight led by a tech stocks sell-off. The benchmark Hang Seng Index is down by 457.87 points, or 1.83 percent at 24,549.73. At about 10:00 am stocks had slumped by more than 440 points. In mainland China, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index has shed 1.17 percent at 3,345.51. The Shenzhen Stock Exchange Composite Index skidded by 1.22 percent at 2,273.63.
