Norwegian attacking midfielder Harald Nilsen Tangen has joined Notts County on an initial loan from Sarpsborg 08 with the option of a permanent deal this summer. The 25-year-old, who played youth internationals for Norway up to under-20 level, has made 130 appearances in his native top flight. Tangen remained at Viking for the next two-and-a-half seasons before signing a long-term contract with Sarpsborg in August 2024. County's director of football Richard Montague told the club website, external that "Harald has lots of exciting qualities". "Harald is also very hard-working in the press and he's been an important player for both Sarpsborg and Viking FK at the top level of Norwegian football."
