The 1454 Harrow Squadron of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets, based in South Harrow, was chosen as one of five winners in Selco Builders Warehouse’s Community Heroes scheme for August. "The cadets need somewhere they can try new experiences, make friends and build skills that will last them a lifetime. Simon Humpage, head of multi-channel marketing at Selco, said: "The RAF Air Cadets in south Harrow is another brilliant winner of our Community Heroes campaign, which is all about celebrating the work in local areas. "We have had so many entries so the judging was so difficult, but 1454 Harrow Squadron were a clear standout, and we are delighted to provide them with the materials to improve its facilities." Selco’s Community Heroes scheme will produce 40 winners in total this year.
