Renowned journalist-turned-actor Hasan Masood has been hospitalised after falling seriously ill. Hasan Masood is currently receiving treatment at the Stroke Unit of Universal Medical College Hospital in Mohakhali. Dr Ashis Kumar Chakraborty, Managing Director of the hospital, told Prothom Alo, "Hasan Masood has suffered an ischemic stroke along with a mild heart attack. Once a familiar face on television dramas and films, Hasan Masood gradually withdrew from the entertainment industry. Hasan Masood joined the Bangladesh Army in 1985 and retired in 1992 as a captain.
