Hasin has lodged a complaint against Shami and his family alleging rape, attempt to murder, poisoning and mental and physical torture. "If Shami truly wants to make up, if I feel he is truly apologetic for his actions, I will think about a reconciliation... for the sake of our daughter. Hasin also urged Shami to refrain from making "baseless statements". She referred to his statement that she had been making the allegations against him at someone's insistence. Hasin's lawyer Jakir Hossain, who was present at the news conference, said he had met some of Shami's relatives on Saturday.
