However, for about 15 million Americans who suffer from food allergies, eating can be a more calculated task. Nima, a portable food sensor, is helping take the grunt work out of eating for those with food sensitivities by offering a quick allergy detection tests. Forbes spoke with Nima co-founder Shireen Yates to discover how the sensor technology is shifting attitudes at the dining table.
