Fury FC 1, Legion 0Hoping for a quick start to its United Soccer League season, it’s mission accomplished so far for Ottawa Fury FC. Fury FC defeated Birmingham Legion 1-0 Saturday night on the road after a season-opening 1-1 draw a week ago. On a clinical left-footed strike, Carl Haworth scored the lone Fury FC goal — his 19th goal with the team, making him the all-time Fury FC leader. Birmingham came close to tying it up in the 83rd minute, but the ball was cleared off the Ottawa goal line by Thomas Meilleur-Giguère. Loanee Robert Boskovic also got his first appearance in Fury FC colours as he was substituted on in the final minutes of the game.
