This was contained in a statement issued by the ministry on Thursday, January 29, 2026. "We have constituted a dedicated Investigation Committee to conduct a thorough and independent inquiry into the allegations of unethical medical practices at these facilities. Other members of the committee include Dr Eric Kofi Ngyedu,CEO, Cape Coast Teaching Hospital and Dean of CEOs for Teaching Hospitals, Dr Adam Abass, Neurosurgeon, Tamale Teaching Hospital and President, Ghana Academy of Neurosurgeons.
