Photo: PIDDHAKA, Mar 1, 2026 (BSS) - Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Hossain today urged medical professionals to become internationally standard specialist doctors by combining humanity with professional excellence. A total of 1,306 resident doctors took the oath at the ‘Residency Induction Program 2026’. Hossain said producing skilled and research-oriented specialist doctors is needed to prevent people from seeking advanced medical treatment abroad. Addressing the resident doctors, he said they must utilize every moment of their academic life to enrich themselves not only with clinical skills but also with humane behavior. He emphasized that newly admitted resident doctors must play a significant role in achieving this goal.
