Issues a circul­ar callin­g meetin­g of promot­ion commit­teeISLAMABAD: Doctors awaiting promotions for years in the federal capital’s hospitals are likely to get good news next month. Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination has called a meeting of departmental promotion committees of public hospitals of Islamabad in the second week of November to consider promotion of doctors. In its meeting held this month, the departmental promotion committee had promoted only 38 out of 80 doctors awaiting promotions in the next grade. The committee promoted only those doctors who were recruited through Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC), officials said. Health Ministry Secretary Allah Baksh Malik had told The Express Tribune, on being approached, had said that departmental promotion committee would review cases of affected doctors in its meeting in November.
