FULLY vaccinated health care workers will be the first in line to receive a booster dose against Covid-19 starting today, November 17, according to the Department of Health (DoH). The advisory was released after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an emergency use authorization (EUA) for the use of booster doses for multiple brands. Booster doses will also be given to those aged 18 to 60 with comorbidities who are considered at high risk of developing severe Covid-19. The National Vaccine Operations Center was expected to release guidelines for the administration of booster doses on Tuesday. The deployment of boosters to health care workers, Domingo said, will be followed by senior citizens in areas where there is high coverage for the subgroup.
