Heartbreaking final plea grandfather made after family car collided with a Toyota HiLux and left three dead and his two-year-old granddaughter injured at Yarrabilba


The family was travelling in a white Volkswagen station wagon when it collided with a white Toyota HiLux on Waterford-Tamborine Road at Yarrabilba, south of Brisbane, just after 4.30pm on Saturday. The 65-year-old man driving the station wagon, a 33-year-old woman passenger, and the 18-year-old HiLux driver died at the scene. A 36-year-old man, 65-year-old woman and two-year-old girl, who were passengers in the station wagon, were injured. Daily Mail understands the 65-year-old man, who has not yet been identified, is the grandfather of the young girl. The 65-year-old woman and 36-year-old man injured in the crash were transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital with critical injuries.
