Heatwave hits 15 districts, may continue two more days

A mild to moderate heatwave is currently sweeping through 15 districts across Bangladesh, with meteorologists predicting the sweltering conditions will persist for at least two more days. Meteorologist Mohammad Shahinul Islam said the heatwave may persist for another two days. In stark contrast, Sylhet recorded the country’s lowest temperature at 19°C, alongside the highest rainfall of 83mm over the last 24 hours. Weather conditions elsewhere are expected to remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies. Day and night temperatures are expected to remain largely unchanged.
