A rescue helicopter was required to help at two separate incidents of women suffering injuries in falls. The Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Akitio, on the North Island's east coast, when a Dannevirke woman was injured in a fall about 8am on Monday. Supplied The Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter rescued a Palmerston North woman, in her 30s, who had slipped off a farm track in hill country, east of Pahiatua, badly breaking her ankle. He was taken to Palmerston North Hospital.
