A pregnant woman in Isiolo was on Friday rescued by a helicopter after the ambulance that was ferrying her got stuck in the mud. The ambulance that was ferrying her to Isiolo County Teaching and Referral Hospital got stuck in Kulamawe area due to heavy rains that have been pounding the region. However, upon arrival, the medical team referred her to Isiolo County Teaching and Referral Hospital for specialised care after they realised her condition was critical. Isiolo County Teaching and Referral Hospital Medical Superintendent at Hussein Abdi Mohamud speaking to KTN News confirmed that the patient had arrived at the facility. This comes barely a day after another heroic move where a helicopter rescued passengers of a lorry who were stuck in raging floods in Samburu.
