MANILA, Philippines – Police have launched a manhunt for two women who allegedly tricked an 18-year old helper in Marikina City to hand over her employer’s jewelry worth P200,000 using the so-called “budol-budol” scam. ADVERTISEMENTA report by the Eastern Police District, said the swindlers victimized helper Jane Aninzo and her employer Glenda Gerero, 40, a doctor. The caller reportedly told Miranda that her employer could not properly speak due to supposed injuries she sustained from the crash. Claiming to read from Gerero’s written instructions, the caller told Aninzo to get a box of jewelry in the bedroom and go to Riverbanks commercial center in Barangay Barangka. After arriving in Riverbanks, Aninzo was told to buy a new sim card to receive further instructions.
