Basilio Fernandes is all set to become new sarpanch of Camurlim Village Panchayat for one more time, and Rain Dias will take charge as deputy sarpanch, which is reserved for the lady. However, the newly elected panchas of neighbouring Raia Village Panchayat are yet to disclose the name of sarpanch and deputy sarpanch. "The name of the new sarpanch and deputy sarpanch will be disclosed on Monday,” he stated. There are similar situations in the Navelim, Sao Jose De Areal and Chinchinim Village Panchayats. Similarly, village panchayats of Colva, Velim, Nuvem etc have already finalised the names of sarpanch and deputy sarpanch.
