02 Jun 2023| 06:27am ISTCourt gives partial reprieve to Davorlim land grabbing accusedTeam HeraldPANJIM: In a partial relief to one of the Davorlim land grabbing case accused, the High Court of Bombay at Goa directed the Margao Police against arresting the accused till June 12 after the investigating officer told the court that the accused would be required for two more days before arriving at a conclusion for his custodial interrogation. PSI Sameer N Gaonkar, who is the Investigation Officer, requested the presence of the applicant before him for two more days i.e. on June 2 and 6, before coming to an inference whether his custodial interrogation is necessary or not. A complaint regarding land grabbing case was initially lodged with the Special Investigation Team (SIT), but the complaint dated July 15, 2022, was returned by the SIT stating that the saidoffence does not fall within the purview of organised land grabbing. Moosa Mohammed of Colmorod, Navelim had filed a complaint stating that Kundaikar and four others with their common tintention and with dishonest intentions.
