Hundreds of bouquets and other floral tributes filled Parliament Square this weekend as wellwishers created a poignant memorial to the victims of Wednesday’s terrorist attack. Some carried handwritten notes commemorating PC Keith Palmer, the murdered police officer. One, from the British Transport Police in Lambeth, read: “HERO. Never Forgotten.”Others remembered the three civilians killed when Khalid Masood mowed down pedestrians by driving along the pavement on Westminster Bridge. Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London, left a tribute whose message read: “Londoners will never forget the innocent people who lost their lives.” Another, anonymous, note read: “Those who engage in terrorism in the name of Islam are NOT Muslim.”
