Politics are irrelevant to their existence. Chesley (Sully) Sullenberger, played by Tom Hanks. As for the real-life Sully, I didn’t ask him about his politics. But he has spent his time since his moment of heroism campaigning for commercial pilots to make more than minimum wage, and for airlines to stop outsourcing critical repairs and maintenance to Mexico. Heroism should be above politics.
