Another 636 persons were arrested for violating the quarantine rules yesterday (23), police spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said. The Police Media Spokesman further stated that this is the highest number of arrests made in a single day since the implementation of the quarantine rules. Accordingly, the total number of persons arrested so far is 12,748. Meanwhile, a search operation was launched in several areas in Colombo yesterday using drones to search for quarantine violators. Four persons have been arrested for violating the quarantine rules through that operation.
