Hillary Clinton: Congress must be 'deliberate, fair and fearless' in addressing Mueller report

(CNN) Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton urged Congress to thoroughly and fairly follow up on the Mueller report -- while simultaneously advancing non-Mueller-related legislation central to Democrats' platform -- in a Washington Post op-ed published Wednesday. She cautioned against a rush to impeachment saying, "History suggests there's a better way to think about the choices ahead." Clinton pointed to the "many unanswered questions" in the Mueller report and Attorney General William Barr's redactions, calling on both Republicans and Democrats to pursue the answers using the report as a "road map." Either way, the nation's interests will be best served by putting party and political considerations aside and being deliberate, fair and fearless." This should take the form of Congress holding "substantive hearings that build on the Mueller report and fill in its gaps" featuring key players such as Mueller and former White House counsel Don McGahn, Clinton added.
