The victorious Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers (SLE) in the the Inter-regiment ‘A’ Division 50-over Cricket: (Not in order) Ruwan Herath (Capt. Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers (SLE) beat Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) in the final by six wickets. The two teams, SLE and SLSR, had defeated Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment and Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment respectively in their semi-finals. Left-arm leg-spinner Hashan Sandeepana took 5/38 and Omesh Vidyarathne took 2/33 for SLE, quipped “The Sappers”. Heshan Hettiarachchi made a quick-fire 35 off 25 balls, with a six and three fours.
