And yet, three weeks after the start of the Del Mar meeting, the California Horse Racing Board has yet to release any of its stewards’ minutes. To date, there have been 18 rulings made by Del Mar stewards and none explained beyond boilerplate detail by the CHRB. Then, I started to see Gryder at Santa Anita as the track used him as a spokesman for horse racing during the track’s fatality crisis last year.
