The Hospital Authority on Wednesday said it will issue documents to immunocompromised patients to prove they are eligible for receiving a third dose of the Covid-19 vaccine early. However, specific groups of immunocompromised patients should receive the third dose four weeks after the second dose. Those who are on immunosuppressive treatment after receiving organ or stem cell transparent, or chronic dialysis or with severe primary immunodeficiency are also included. Those immunocompromised patients will have to present the documents -- issued by the hospitals -- to be able to get jabbed early. Or they can make bookings in the government’s vaccination website beforehand for the third dose, the authority added.
