In Nyeri County, public health facilities such as Nyeri County Referral Hospital, Mt Kenya, and Othaya Level 5 facilities reported stock-outs of the essential vaccine. Nurses working at the county referral hospital said the number of people going for the injection had increased substantially since last weekend. “When the vaccine arrived, we had a very low uptake, but now the number of people looking to be vaccinated is very high.
