WITH the easterlies – winds coming from the east, passing through the Pacific Ocean and bringing warm and humid weather – it will be hot throughout the country, the state-run weather agency said on Wednesday. In particular, the easterlies are affecting the eastern section of the country, according to weather forecaster Obet Badrina of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa). He told The Manila Times that they have not monitored any weather disturbance or low pressure area that may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility in the coming days. "In fact, there is a less chance of any storm until [the] end of the month," Badrina said. "It will be generally hot and humid weather in large parts of the country, so the public is advised to limit their outdoor activities especially during noontime and early afternoon when heat is most intense and drink plenty [of] water," he added.
