Housing, infrastructure projects accomplished in Upper Egypt since 2014 worth LE63B


CAIRO – 5 January 2021: Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem al-Gazar stated Tuesday that the value of housing and infrastructure projects accomplished in Upper Egypt since 2014 is LE63 billion. The projects were carried out in existing cities, eight new cities, and six fourth-generation cities. In a different context, Petroleum Minister Tareq Mulla announced on December 31 a high-octane benzine complex project has entered pilot stage in line with the set plans and timetable. He noted that the complex worth $450 million of investment secures about 800,000 tons of fuel annually, adding that this amount was previously imported to cater for local market needs. The minister added that a new diesel oil complex has been also established by the Assiut National Oil Processing Co. (ANOPEC).
