Housing values were as flat as a pancake in September


Residential property values could not have been any flatter in September, with the national average dwelling value decreasing by just $20, according to property data company CoreLogic. Over the previous three months the national average value declined by -0.6% and over the previous 12 months it declined by -7.3%. For example in the country's largest property market, Auckland, the average value across the region was up by $4346 in September, but average values declined for the North Shore, Waitakere and Franklin. There has also been an ongoing drop in average values in Queenstown-Lakes. The table below shows the average dwelling values in all urban districts throughout the country and their changes over one, three and 12 months.
