She was initially sentenced to 15 years' imprisonment on July 3, 2025, after being convicted of defrauding by false pretence and charlatanic advertisement. Upon review, the Amasaman High Court, presided over by Justice Solomon Oppong-Twumasi, reduced the term to 12 calendar months, describing the original punishment as unusually harsh and excessive. The High Court also imposed a fine of GH¢2,400, in default of which she would serve an additional three months' imprisonment .
