A Vancouver-based company is using virtual reality to teach a new generation of orthopedic surgeons in North America. The virtual reality technology puts trainees inside the operating room. With the technology, students have the option to practice the procedure as many times as needed to refine their technique. UBC orthopedic surgery student Ryan Lohre practices his skills using Precision OS VR technology. Staff at Precision OS have worked years to develop the technology and refine it with user feedback.
